What is 3-ply stainless steel?
3-ply stainless steel, also known as multi-ply, is a material composed of three distinct layers of metal. At the heart of this steel is a central layer of aluminum (or copper in some cases), which is wrapped on each side by a layer of stainless steel. The inner layer is 18/10 stainless steel, fully compatible with food contact. The outer layer is a ferritic stainless steel, which allows for induction compatibility.
