Why opt for a coating-free wok?

It’s no secret – we’re strong advocates for cookware free from non-stick coatings. Most chemical non-stick options contain PFAS (that’s per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, if you like your chemistry). These chemicals are seriously bad news for both your health and the environment. How do I care for my stainless steel wok?

To make cleaning a breeze, use room-temperature water to deglaze your wok straight after using it. Never use cold water, as the thermal shock could damage your wok.

Let it soak for a few minutes, then lift away any stubborn stuck-on bits with a wooden spoon or copper wire before putting it in the dishwasher or washing it by hand.

Why use 3-ply 18/10 stainless steel?

So, why is using 18/10 3-ply stainless steel such a big deal?

Because it’s a material that revolutionises the way we cook, creating woks that genuinely raise the bar. We use a 3-ply stainless steel that’s 2.3mm thick and made up of three layers:

The inside layer that you cook on uses 18/10 stainless steel. That’s 18% chromium to avoid oxidisation, and 10% nickel to keep flavours pure.

The inner layer is made from aluminium, for fast, even heat distribution from base to rim. It’s the reason Atma woks get so hot and cook with such precision. The aluminium is completely sealed between the two layers of stainless steel, so no food ever comes into contact with it.

Finally, the outer layer. Ferritic stainless steel that’s totally compatible with induction, as well as all other cooking surfaces.

Excellent wok en inox

Très satisfaite de ce wok solide et bien fini. La montée en température est homogène. Je l’ai utilisé pour saisir des viandes des légumes et des nouilles. Le couvercle permet d’autres sortes de préparations. Les aliments n’attachent pas si on respecte les bonnes températures. Le nettoyage est très facile et jusqu’à présent mon wok a gardé son aspect neuf. Je suis ravie de cet achat qui me permet de cuisiner sainement notamment sans PFAS.

Le wok de 24 cm est idéal pour une à deux personnes. Son format compact le rend particulièrement maniable au quotidien, tout en offrant une surface suffisante pour réaliser des cuissons rapides et efficaces.

Ses parois évasées permettent de concentrer la chaleur au fond pour saisir rapidement les aliments, tandis que les bords plus hauts facilitent le mélange sans projections.

Fabriqué en inox 18/10 trois plis sur toute la surface, sans PFAS, il assure une montée en température rapide et une diffusion homogène de la chaleur. Ce type de construction est idéal pour les sautés minute, les nouilles, les légumes ou les sauces rapides.

Le wok 24 cm est parfaitement adapté aux repas individuels ou à deux personnes et aux petites préparations du quotidien. Le format 28 cm convient davantage aux repas familiaux ou aux cuissons en plus grande quantité.
