The colour, the shape, the quality – spot on
Like everything we make, we first asked you what you wanted most from an oven dish. Over 1,200 of you responded, sharing what you love, and what you hate, so we could develop the perfect product for you. We pored over every answer and what emerged was very clear: ceramic not glass, rectangular not oval, and really resistant to bumps and knocks. You also wanted colours - really nice, rich ones to accompany the flavours they present. The choice between deep olive and a bold midnight blue was so evenly split that we thought it would be rude to choose. Both are available.
We’ve added porcelain for maximum resistance to knocks and bumps
We didn’t just pick our production partner because of their decades of ceramic know-how. They also do something very special that sets them apart. Old porcelain residue is folded back in, strengthening the ceramic so chips are much, much less likely to occur. Cracked dishes? No thanks.
A unique design full of character and longevity.
We worked with Marc Venot, our go-to French designer, to create an oven dish that feels as good on the eye as it does in the hand—practical, timeless, made to last. The sort you never get bored of. Plenty of factory visits and prototypes later, we managed to develop the perfect oven dish, exactly how Marc had designed it. The devil is in the details: the delicate curve around each handle may look effortless, but perfecting it was no small feat, given our artisanal production. Even the colour palette and glaze took their time—a stack of samples before we hit on the ideal olive green and a midnight blue deep enough to transform any table. But it was worth the investment because we know that the compliments will flow every time you serve from it.
Handmade in Portugal
Each of our Oven Dishes stays true to its original design, yet none is quite like the next — that's the magic of handmade work. The journey takes around ten steps, from preparing the mould to hand-finishing, plus plenty of patient drying, glazing and a kiln firing or two in between. Altogether, 15 skilled hands see each dish through, with the full process spanning at least four weeks. It’s easy to forget just how much craft and expertise goes into these kitchen icons — the same ones that host our leisurely, convivial meals, time and time again.
The enamel is naturally non-stick and highly durable
Starters, mains, desserts—you can do it all with the Big Oven Dish. Its rectangular shape and 4.3L capacity make it perfect for a large gathering. Like you, we favour natural ceramic over glass for both its distinctive look and subtle individuality. That hard-wearing enamel finish makes the dish non-stick, a doddle to clean, and extremely durable. No chipping, no scuffed edges, no knife scratches. Whatever you’re cooking, it’s oven safe up to 250°C, freezer safe to -25°C, microwave friendly and, of course, can go straight in the dishwasher.

Yes, 100%. The Oven Dish is dishwasher safe, and suitable for microwaves. It can also withstand temperatures between -25°C and 250°C.
